I spent my New Year’s Eve in Ostend, Belgium, on the North Sea. My husband and I rented a beautiful apartment not far from the beach. First thing I did upon arrival was to go to the nearby florist to buy a Xmas tree. Unfortunately I could not get one. Xmas trees are sold in Ostend between mid-November and the beginning of December. At first discouraged, I decided not to give up. To decorate the apartment, I bought a beautiful Red Holly bouquet. A nice way to start the New Year and get inspired for writing a list of wishes and things to make happen in 2014. Happy New Year!
